Radio, ich hab den heissen Draht zur Welt - Rundfunk im Theater

„Radio, hotline to the world“ – radio in theatre

"The double premiere of 'SPACE HAS BECOME A CROWDED PLACE' takes place simultaneously at Theater Rampe in Germany and in Namibia. Music & storytelling on stage and an audio walk in urban space establish connections − from techniques of communication with ancestors to the involvement of German corporations in the genocide in Namibia from 1904 to 1908, to contemporary satellite technology. The internet and radio create a connection between both performance locations. Audience members are encouraged to get moving: from Windhoek (Namibia) to Stuttgart (Germany) and back," says the information text about the performance."

The radio producers Aliki Schäfer and Andreas Vogel (Montage Radio, Raketenradio, Cosmic Radio Show) are engaging in a discussion in a broadcast before an audience with the creators and directors Frederike Moormann and Angelika Waniek  about radio in theater in general and about their piece, which they developed together with Nashilongweshipwe Mushaandja, in particular.
